The Orthopedic Bolster is a rectangular foam bed with a bolster, built for support, not nesting. Choosing between them comes down to what your dog does when it lies down.

A major US pet retailer describes high-density egg-crate foam (CertiPUR-US) under a velvety flannel cover (OEKO-TEX), with a non-skid bottom. The page never says memory foam. Treat it as supportive, not as a memory-foam bed.

A major US pet retailer gives five sets of dimensions against four size names. The table pairs them by order, and that pairing is our best reading, not a published mapping. There is also no dog weight limit; the "total weight 8 lb" on the page is the bed's own weight. So we cannot match a size to a dog's weight. Go by the dog's length and confirm on the listing.
Washing: the title says washable, but a major US pet retailer gives no care steps and does not say the cover is removable. The foam is not washable. Dryer settings are not published.

We could not read Bedsure's size chart. These numbers come from pet-retailer listings, and a pet-product site, and none of them tie a name like "medium" to a diameter. That means we cannot say which of our two linked listings is which size.

Rim width and inner diameter are not published, and weight limits for the smaller sizes are not documented. Choose by your dog's curled-up footprint, then read the weight on the exact listing. For a large dog, the only documented rating is the 100 lb figure on the 36in.

It is claimed, by several sources. The Calming Donut's listing title says anti-slip and a pet-product site mentions a non-slip bottom. A major US pet retailer lists a non-skid bottom for the Orthopedic. Among the five beds we cover, Bedsure is the only brand whose retailer and review sources state this for both beds (Bedfolks has a single unverified reseller claim). We have not tried either bed on a floor, so how well the base grips is unknown to us. For a dog on hardwood or tile, it is still the best-documented claim in this set.
Washing the Calming Donut
Washing is what people ask about most, and the sources do not agree:
- XS to L: A pet-product site says the whole bed is machine washable. Only the XL has a removable cover, per the same article.
- Dryer: one listing says dry on low heat. A reviewer quoted by a third-party source says faux fur can mat in the dryer.
- Donut Bolster line: a separate Bedsure bed we have not made a pick, described with a removable washable cover.

- Chewers. Fur shells and fiber or foam fill come apart under sustained chewing.

- Nesters on the Orthopedic. It is a flat support bed, not a deep nest.
